This is our offline edit for our Unit 41
The main editing of the footage that we had to do was to edit out the green screen. The effect that we used was as ultra key tool, this tool allows you to select a colour that you want to remove. In our case the colour we wanted to remove is green, and we replaced it with a gradient tan background that we got of a royalty free website. The only issue that we had with the footage was the wrinkles in the green screen, we found it difficult to remove the darker green areas. Hence why in some of the videos you can see what looks like creases on the backdrop. We also had problems with the audio when it was projected onto a big screen, on ordinary computers and laptops the audio sounded fine. But for some reason when we put it onto a big screen to show to our focus group the audio was crackly. However, overall despite these problems I still think that we created a successful product that fits with the brief.
